Shaney just got his breathing tube out!!!

Like the blog title says: Shaney just got his breathing and feeding tubes out and he's doing great! He also got his catheter out earlier (which produced palpable relief; he immediately calmed down, his eyes filled with life and he started making his Spiderman balloon dance more than ever! I'd do the same...)

His first request?

Sprite.

We have to wait a few hours before he can eat or drink, but when he can he'll get 14 gallons of Sprite as far as I'm concerned. I think these pics say more than I could ever type:

My Dad was in the the ICU for a week and it was such an amazing relief when his breathing tube came out. He actually PULLED his catheter out... Ouch...

  5. What a wonderful God we serve!!! He has answered so many prayers. Chris and Kylee "Thank you" so... much for being so diligent with this blog. I have been checking it regularly so I can update the staff of BMS. I took one of Shane's pics with me to church yesterday and the whole church prayed for healing for his little body. What an awesome God we have!!! You will continue to be in our prayers until Shane is home and playing with his brothers. Please give him some big hugs and kisses from the staff at BMS and we'll see you soon!!!

  7. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Congrats Shaney!! You must feel SO much better! Welp, uncle Tyler is back in LA now. It's crazy how right before the flight I was reading the blog and he was still semi out of it and a tube in, and right when I turn my phone on after landing, I have a text and several emails saying that he got his tube and catheter out and he's doing fantastic! Amazing!!! I'll still be praying for you guys that he continues to heal and you guys continue to grow and love each other. Love and miss you guys!!!

  12. WOOHOO!!! Wish we could have seen you today, buddy. Seraphim can't wait to play!

We're going to try to get down to you guys once he's out of the ICU. I know that Seraphim would really like to see him while he's in the hospital. I think she's going through Shaney withdrawal! I would too if my future husband was in the ICU and I could see him!

    love you guys, b,b,sk&lj
